What cameras do you use?
We use many different options from HDV to P2 & Flash Drive cameras depending on the client's budget. For low-budget productions we use Panasonic's HVX-200s with 35mm adapters. For music videos and films with a budget we use the RED ONE, the digital cinema camera which
features a single Super 35-sized CMOS sensor and a cinematography industry standard PL mount.
I have a screenplay that I've written, can you read it and give me your input?
We receive multiple screenplays monthly. Because this is the case, we're limited with the amount of time we can spend reading an entire script. Contact us to see if we are currently accepting screenplays. If we are, we'll ask for a synopsis of your screenplay. If it sounds unique and enticing, we'll ask for a screenplay. All screenplays MUST be formatted correctly to industry-standards. If you are unsure as to what the correct formats are, check out Final Draft, the industry-leading screenplay writing software. We will NOT accept screenplays that are not written with correct formatting.
I am in a band and have a great song we would like put into a music video. How much does it usually cost?
As with any music video or film, this is a difficult question. Simple, one location, minimal crew, you're looking at around $1500 to $2000. As we add on MUAs (Makeup Artists), Hairstylists, DP (Director of Photography), Sound Engineers, PAs (Production Assistants), Multiple Locations, & Night Shoots, the cost goes up. The average music video produced these days to MTV standards runs between 10K and 20K, and can sometimes reach upwards of 50K. It's all about how much you want to do, and how long it will take. Contact us to schedule a phone interview about your next music video.
Once my music video has been shot, how long does it take before I get to see the first proof?
The average edit time for a low-budget music video runs between a week and two weeks for first edit, and another week for final approval. Larger-budget music videos take anywhere from three to six weeks for first approval and another week for final.
How will I get to view my music video for approval, and what formats to I get in the end?
For first approval and final copy you will receive an electronic file transfer via a unique website designed for your viewing only.
Once approved you will receive a master copy via email in MP4, MOV, AVI, or whatever format you prefer. You will also receive a DVD as well.
